I can hardly wait to read Tam Raynor's new book. I've been an avid reader of her blogs, one of which is found at: Prose Me and her Bible Study site at: [Soulercise], both of which I highly recommend.
Tam Raynor is a master with words. It's as though you can see what she's describing as though you were there with her, whether she's describing a tiny village market in Tanzania, Africa or a funny happening in her life as a preacher's wife in a little town in [Kansas].
Tam Raynor never fails to delight her readers with her many gifts of story telling that have their roots in her loving and generous spirit and her down to earth, sometimes wry humor.

I couldn't put Tam's new book down! At least not until I finished it about 4 in the morning. What a wonderful account of her Mom's boot camp adventures in the 1950's Waves. A country girl from a loving, Christian family in a small Arizona town, who's heart's desire is to travel and see the world, is assigned to a boot camp on the eastern seaboard--in the winter!
Tam's Mom's diary is the genesis of many hilarious and sad and ultimately very uplifting experiences. I was sorry when I turned the last page and I want to know what happened next in this very interesting and engaging lady's life. A very good read.

This book was so much fun to read. The book really gets rolling once the main character enters boot camp. The author's humor is a breath of fresh air in contrast to most modern day literature. It helped me relax, I definitely laughed, and it really gave me an insider's view of the Navy Boot Camp. It was hard for me to put it down, I wanted to read it straight through. Every member of my family enjoyed reading it. Great book.

I took the book from my wife after receiving it in the mail and simply could not put it down. Could not help but to smile while reading, also a few Boot Camp frowns along the way. A wonderfully fun biographical novel describing part of an amazing lady's life that stood for what was right. She never shirked her responsibility when it came to her rights and those of others. A smooth, fun, sharp, and energetic read!

I started reading your book today and I am hooked! I thought I would just read a couple pages, but I found myself saying, 'Okay, maybe a couple more.' Thanks for sharing.
